Vaishakh Navami - Sri Janki Janmotsav

Janki Janmotsav, is celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at the Shri Janki Mahal Trust in Ayodhya. This festival marks the birth anniversary of Goddess Janki (Janaki), the consort of Lord Rama, and highlights her virtues of compassion, purity and strength. Janki Mahal Trust organises special events during this time to honour Janki Mata’s life and teachings, welcoming devotees from across India.

Priests perform rituals invoking Sita Mata’s blessings for prosperity and peace. Devotees and local artists sing Janki Mata’s praises and devotional songs. Community meals (bhandara) are served to thousands of devotees. Ramayana-based plays, dance dramas and children’s competitions.
